My name's David Thompson; I'm frequently known as “FatBusinessman” or “Fatty”; I'm a consummate geek. I'm 24 years old and am making my first tentative forays into the big and scary world of full-time employment

The reasons behind the nickname of “FatBusinessman” have all but faded into the mists of time; the story behind the name involves crazed Mexicans and Half-Life mods, so one is probably best off not asking.

The blog

I started this blog (or founded, architected, engineered or whatever verb best transitions a blog from a state of non-existence to a state of existence) in the summer of 2004. The main topics of discussion appear to be web development, university life, enthusing about Macs and complaining about Windows; sometimes these topics can even be combined in exciting and novel ways.
